I would go for the Rigid you can get a better price on regular Dually from Northridge But the Q series out now that is 30% brighter. Love the quality and life time Guarantee.

Just took my KC halogen windshield lights off. Subscribed for the same dilemma.

I say neither. How about Kawell 27W LED pod lights for 27 bucks shipped? I took my 55W KC lights off and put the Kawell's on. Blew my mind the difference. They've been through hard rain at highway speeds, high heat days, and crawling. No issues. Hooked to a sPOD. KC's are sitting in the garage... They make round and square ones. I have the round ones in the link below:

I also used that same light for a "tailgater" light hidden behind my spare. So when i'm backing up, or if I get someone too close, a flip of the switch fixes the issue. That 50" LED on top is also off Amazon, 109 bucks shipped. Also been through the same torchure, not a single issue. Use it all the time. 2 year warranty. A lot better than 1800 bucks.

I have pretty much decided to go with the Rigid D2 lights. I do not want to have to spend the money experiment with different lights. The D2 lights are expensive but I would rather get some really good lights that are bright and be done with it. In all of the reviews that I have read and the videos I have watched, nobody has said that they wish the lights were brighter.

Looking at this pic, what would be a reason to get the D2 driving/wide set of lights vs the spot/flood set?

The spots will give more of a narrow beam of light straight in front of the vehicle. The D2 driving lights give you light in front and light off to the side. Check out this video I found on Youtube of the D2 lights.

For comparison, here is a video of someone testing their Dually spots (not D2 lights). The D2 lights in the first video seem much much brighter.
