I'm tracking down a leak on my Jeep. Its puddling on both sides of the front floors, soaking the carpet pretty good. I've pulled it out for now.
I have full steel doors and the hard top on.

My brother and I hosed it down while looking to try and see where it's coming from and it looks to be around the top front corner of the drivers side, and the corner/edge about where the windshield hinge is, and the front edge of the passenger side by the hinge too, and along the edge going down there.

I sealed the edge of the windshield with some silcone to try and rule that out, but its still leaking.

The door seals still look to be in great shape and don't look flat or cracked/dry etc... The dealer wants ~$165 each side for doors seals , and OMIX has aftermarket ones for about $80 a side. Either way is a bit pricey to see if it works.

I've tried tweaking the front edge slightly out so to no avail, and not sure if I should try to adjust the doors as both seem to 'tilt' back a lil but are otherwise flush and good it looks like. Hinges are good too, no play.

Any more ideas would be great, or should I spend the money on seals (and which if so)?

Thanks in advance

Mine were leaking in where the plyers are in the pic...bending it upwards makes the water go out of the tub instead of in.

I tried that Dex, still leaking though :(
Originally I thought it was coming in just the passenger side, tried all the fixes like yours and others like sealing the cowl intake, making sure drain was clean, ac drain etc, so they are all covered now at least :)

Are the aftermarket door seals from Rugged Ridge, Crown, and Fairchild any good and which might be better?

I guess all seals are exactly the same quality no matter what brand I buy... gee, I wish everything was this easy?! ;)

got the same issue (to a lesser extent) on my 2002 that only shows up when I wash the vehicle and spray water horizontally onto the top door frames.

after reading so many posts about so many TJs w/ hardtops with this issue I am beginning to wonder if adding a second seal directly to the hard top where the top of the door makes contact with the hardtop would be a good solution.

It would be simple and cheap to add a strip of say 1/4" bulb weatherstripping from Autozone to the hardtop door channel.

Header/Door seal Leaks

Having the same problem on my 06! looks like the header seal is channeling water right behind the door seal. Im going to try to adjust the doors and see if that fixes it before I spend the money on a new Header seal. Any other ideas guys!?

I think thats what mine was doing so by bending the tub (pic above) has cured water from dripping in. Door still closes the same.

Ill give it a shot! I also thought about adding some RTV behind the header seal in the corners to cheat it up and make a better seal with the hard top in the corners. thanks!

I added a bit of black silicone up where the hardtop meets the windshield corner and smoothed it out so the seal sat flatter/tight, but I don't think the water is coming in there.
On mine I'm sure it's just the door seals it seems, but still not sure if I want to spend the cash on Mopar seals as aftermarket seem hit or miss. It only does it depending how its parked/facing. I bent up the tub a lil like Dex suggested which did help somewhat, but mine looks to have some sort of putty there and I didn't want to screw up the paint etc, so didn't move it to much...
