Tuffy vs Bestop. Which one is best? Why is the Tuffy box twice the cost of the Bestop box? Is there another brand you would recommend? Please let me know. Thanks!

I will be ordering the Tuffy underseat storage box in the near future. Tuffy is stronger (than Bestop) and the drawer will open more. I realize it cost more, but will be ordering one for the driver side and later one for the passenger.

I have the Tuffy driver side installed and plan to get the Tuffy passenger side in the near future. It's a nice strong box and it is a little larger and does open further than the Bestop one. Not sure if it is actually worth the extra cost to everyone, but I am satisfied.

Since I don't have the Bestop box maybe someone that does can give you an opinion on that one. I do have a Bestop Trektop NX and the quality of the top and their customer service is great. Good luck with your choice.

Tuffy is a bit stronger and extends all the way out, but both will work.

There is a mod that can be done to make the Bestop door slide all the way out as well.

If you google around, Northridge4x4 posted a side-by-side comparison of the two on another forum. The Tuffy was shown to be of significantly higher quality, strength (thus security, its primary function), and usability. No affiliation here, but I know which I would choose.
