I'm a huge ls engine fan. An ls based engine is as good as they come in my book. Before my jeep I had two silverado's and one Silverado ss. If I ever do a swap it will be a 5.3 or 6.0. But a 327 is an old carbureted small block, has nothing to do with a 5.3. 5.3 L may come out to somewhere near 327 ci but that's where the similarities end. Any stock short block that can handle 1000+ Hp is plenty durable for a jeep haha. Do a google search about 5.3 wrangler swaps there's a few good write ups on it. And good luck with it! It will be awesome I'm sure
