We have a 17' JKU and planning on doing a mild lift and putting new wheels and tires on. I have pretty much settled on 295-70-18s and am looking for a A/T tire thats gets decent traction in rain and snow and is quiet, we dont do much off road and no mud if can help it. I had a 03 4runner that came with Michelin LTXs that did well all around but am open to other opinions.

Your driving habits are similar to mine, joeb58, when it was time for new tires recently, I ended up with Nitto Terra Grapplers.

BFG KO2's are smooth and quiet, 3PMSF rated and I will attest, they are OUTSTANDING in snow and sleet storms on the road.
Falkens were my second choice, went with BFG because I knew I would get a lot of miles out of them as I drive around 25k miles per year.

Falken AT3W - Nitto Ridge Grappler - BFG KO2

All very good and popular tires. If inclement weather handling is important, choose the Falken AT3W.
