I have been pricing new top for my 99 sport, what are the pros and cons on the quadratops that are listed around $300. I don't want to spend an arm and leg. I know besttop are the top of the line, but any advice would be helpful. Thanks

I like my Bestop Supertop. 3 years on it without any rips or zipper trouble. I use my hardtop in cold weather months.

I have a Bestop replace-a-top now that I'm overall satisfied with, but it is faded (Spice) and I'd like to have tinted windows. I think the top is about 6 years old, and all the zippers work well, no stitching coming loose or frayed, and does not leak. I think that speaks to the quality of Bestops. Although I'd like to have a new one, I can't justify spending the $$$ for purely cosmetic reasons.

That said, I've had been keeping a keen eye on the QuadraTops. They seem to be quality made, and someone had posted a chart on another thread that showed the Quadtratops thickness was better than a lot of lower priced tops.
i bought a rampage bowless for 360 from 4wd parts. paid another 40 bucks for a 3 year warranty. any rips tears. anything they will replace. tinted windows and the rear and side windows zip oit and store inside the top very easily. i am very pleased.
If you want to stay with the OE style soft top, I'd go for the Bestop Sailcloth Replace-A-Top. Sailcloth is the newer heavier/quieter fabric new Jeeps started coming with around 2000 and it is a nicer, heavier, and MUCH quieter top than what came on early TJs.
Thank y'all. I'm wanting to stay with the original look, the rampage tops really aren't my style.
stay away from the Smittybuilt tops, my windows are so light and the top isn't really that nice.
The super top really is the best. I've had my for a year and half and it looks brand new. They cost more yes but are very worth it. On a side note I did have one of the knuckles break and best top sent me not only one knuckle but 6 knuckles to replace it.
I bought a quadratop a couple weeks ago and the upper door skins have a weather stripping that will not allow the door to close properly. I would have no complaints if I had full doors but the door skins suck. You can see the the door jam especially when travelling over 50mph or so. The top of the doors pull outward at highway speeds. The top is moderately louder than the original soft top. If it a daily driver I would recommend buying a better top.
just installed a tj02 softopper.....Love the way it looks, function and made in USA!
Can't give a real review yet.
I have full doors on mine. It wasn't meant to be a dd but i probably drive it about 80% of the time over the xterra. I'm going to do a little more research before i buy, but all of your opinions are greatly appreciated! Keep them coming.

I put a cheaper top on my 97 last year and had that same issue with the door weather strip, especially the passenger side. Then one day I was looking at it and realized it wasn't adjusted to fit 100% like it should be. When I kinda twisted it around a little it fit perfectly fine. I would recommend trying to reposition it one way or the other.

I sold that 97 and bought a 2005 this summer and I thought the top was in good shape until I went to put it back on this October and it just ripped a bunch of stitches out around the zippers on both sides. I went with the bestop sailcloth this time and it was incredibly easier to install and is a little quite too. But just the overall fit of the bestop sailcloth top was worth the extra money.
I ended up getting the supertop nx from from jegs, after I mail in my rebate it will cost $526. That's the best price I found by far! It should be at the house when I get home,I just hope it warms up this weekend so I can put it on!
