Hey guys, I own a 06' LJ which has been giving my a loud bang everytime i go over a speedbump too fast or hit a bump in the road. I do have a 2" lift and 17" JK tires on it, but its been doing it even before i added the upgrades. It comes from the rear right side, and just doesnt sound good at all. Anybody either have the same problem or know what it is? Anything will help! Thanks
Do you still have the factory shocks with the 2" lift? I would check the shock and also make sure the coils are seated properly. What I suggest to help pinpoint your issue is zip tie an old cellphone w/video recording to that area and go re-enact the noise.
So ive taken a look underneath the Jeep and i didnt find anything that broke or looked wrong, except for that my rear right shock has been rubbing against the muffler, or vice versa. Would this explain the bang? it doesnt seem like it would, cuz the bang sounds more like a full on hit then a rub, but what do i know. Any help appreciated
The Exhaust system moves around alot..so I would say that is likely the issue.
