Question about a problem my brother-in-law is having:

Everytime he's at a stop light the idle is dropping to around 600-700 rpm's which isn't real low, but not normal. If he puts it in neutral then the idle drops even a little lower. Also, "only" during these times like at a red light, the a/c starts blowing warm air. When on the highway going at normal speeds the a/c blows nice and cold. Any ideas??? As always, ya'lls help is greatly appreciated.

Hard to say on those issues without seeing the vehicle in person to check it out. Usually When the AC blows warm at idle and cold at higher RMP it is a system pressure problem. The idle could be affected by the AC but also by many other non-related items. Is the AC compressor short cycleing? Is the idle smooth or rough when it is running low? As much detailed info as possible could help.
