Who has removed their lower air dam but kept their stock bumper? Am considering taking mine of and I'm interested in pics and, for those that have removed theirs, if there is any noticeable drop in mpg , running hotter or stability issues.

Thanks

I removed mine the first week I bought my Jeep. The bumper was damaged, so I did the end cap mod.
I removed the air dam, because it looked strange with the shorter bumper.
With that said, it’s been almost 5 years since I removed it.
And I haven’t noticed any difference with mpg, stability issues, running hotter, etc.
I may stand corrected. I think it’s purpose is to keep the water from the engine.
But I also didn’t have any issues with water problems.

Mine was off when I bought it and not having it on caused hood flutter. I put on a metal skid plate instead and it stopped the flutter.
