it looks scarier than it is. just relax, take a deep breath, and start. as you take pieces off lay them out in an orderly fashion, and label it all. this way if you cant finish it in a day, you wont forget where stuff went. also it helps to keep you from having leftover pieces at the end. if you can, pickup a Chilton or Haynes manual if your feeling worried. I have a Chilton but really only use it for torque specs and wiring diagrams. though I understand some people need it for more. good luck. if you get stuck ask. we're all willing to help a comrade.

Take a couple pics at different stages, then you can look at them as a reference. Don't stress about it. It's easier then it looks.

Are you sure it's just a leaky gasket? Exhaust manifolds used on the 2.5L are cast so they don't crack as often as the 4.0L's early exhaust headers do but they can still crack.

When I did mine it was just the gasket, intake part was leaking on mine. The rear bolt had come out and a couple others were loose. I was worried they would be rusted tight but they all came out pretty easy. I sprayed everything with JB80 penetrater the day before. I bought a factory service manual after I got the Jeep, well worth the $65. in my opinion. It looks worse than it is.
