Yeah, to be honest I thought it was going to be weird and uninteresting but I was pleasantly surprised. They share alot of great info if you wanna go out on your own, and alot of the guys there were very experienced so they give great advice. Then, we adjourn to the parking lot and go look at everyone's rig. Big ones, small ones, JKs, TJs, YJs, CJs, Cherokees... you name it. Plus, they have maps and GPS tracks on their website if you sign up (25$ lifetime).
Also very family friendly.

I hope that answers your question!
sounds like it went well. I went to one about 1 1/2 to 2 years ago, the group I sat with talk about a trail trip and sounded more of a drinking party than a 4x4 trail. so that put me off a bit. But who knows maybe it was the wrong time to go. They were also changing up the web page the meeting dealt with that.
the group members sound more friendlier too.

do the tires have to be GY wranglers?
Well, it's preferable.. I suppose the tread pattern would vary from brand to brand even in the same size, eh

Why? have you found something that will fit? If so, how much?

As for the RRJC, I havent gone on a run with them so I don't know how they go about their business. I suppose I'll find out this weekend! They're going to seddons on the 1st. Feel free to come, it's an open run

I would if it was on a different day. Comic con is going on so that is where I will be Nov.1st.
For the tires I have connections I haven't asked yet.... Ok he doesn't think he has any but he will keep his eye open for them.

I think I've called every tire place in the city. They're starting to know me by name and saying 'You called earlier. We don't have your tire.'

Dammit.

did you find any tires? I have not come across any.
Thanks for looking. The best I could manage is 180$ from Kal tire in Steinbach. Still better than the 350$ the dealership and every other tire shop wanted! Got a brand new one.

Hell yeah. Better than seddon's for sure. Once there's a little bit more snow we'll plan another run and I'll throw up an invite on here.

Oh and if anyone finds a license plate it belongs to me.
HAHAHA :lmao:
That's funny cause I almost ripped mine off crossing that river.. I think some ice got underneath and bent it up, broke the stupid cheap plastic license plate frame from the dealership. Shucks.

I do believe it is used as a snowmobile trail in winter when there is more snow.
Yeah we actually veered off the actual north star trail at some point and ended up on what was obviously a sled trail. In fact, we passed the NS sled club machines on the way, they had a shack and some big machines like graters or whatever.
