I have a 2016 jku with the 6 speed manual transmission and was trying to find someone who makes a replacement shifter to replace the stock one. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I was looking to see if anyone made a adjustable clutch pedal, I hate having to lift my foot off the floor. Seriously I have driven all sorts of manuals my whole life and the jeep has to be the worst. Even the dam shifter wobbles all over the place just driving down a smooth highway. First time in my life I regret getting a manual in any vehicle.. Can anyone point me towards aftermarket parts

Well, it's not like a car. It's more like a truck. That shifter is pretty much directly connected to the tranny, so it's going to shake. And it's not like you press the clutch every 5 seconds. Didn't you drive a 6 speed Jeep before you bought it?

It would be nice if Hurst came out with a shifter.

Had one on my Dakotas NV3500 trans.

It was awesome, shorter more positive throw

It's a Jeep, not an M car. The throw is long, shifts are sloppy, there is slop in the drivetrain. If these were things you did not expect from what is an off road vehicle, I'm surprised you would have bought a Jeep in the first place.

My issue with the shifter is really only over one thing. When shifting out of 5th to 6th it isnt a straight throw back but more a back nudge right to get it to drop into the 6th gear. With the amount of aftermarket items that you can put on a jeep was kinda shocked that there isnt a option for shifters.

I just picked up my manual on Monday and I definitely do not like the shift between 5 and 6. I am hoping it gets better as it breaks in.

The sloppy shifter is why I went with an auto instead of the 6MT when I ordered.

After reading several different threads here, it led me to "see for myself" so I test drove a JKR with a soft top and 6MT that I had absolutely no interest in buying, just so that I could drive the standard.

I would compare the shifting to that of an early 80s Chevy or Ford pick up. It was doable, but just too damn sloppy for my tastes.

just my two cents worth

Oh yeah, you guys are absolutely correct that it shifts pathetically. However, the way I look at it, the control (in my world) that I get from a manual is worth the 1926 row boat tranny that's in there.

Many prefer the auto and view more control with it, but I guess I'm a little old school and have been willing to take the trade off.

I guess that's why there are choices... :tomatoes:

It won't, but you will.:)
Yeah, my 5-6 shifts were awkward at first.

Putting my right thumb down, placing my palm on the left side of the shift knob, and pushing the knob very very slightly toward the right rear wheel as I make the 5-6 shift works perfectly.

When I try to make the 5-6 shift with my thumb up, it doesn't work as well for me as the shifter is set to return in neutral to the spot between 3 and 4, which makes the 5-6 shift want to move toward 4.

After reading this thread, you guys reminded me what I hate about the 5th-6th shift. Think its been a year and a half since I actually used 6th so....

How do you get "more" control? You can also control the shifts on the auto.
