Hi everyone,

I have a manual 2017 JK with ~35,000 miles and the transmission seems to be making a deep rattling noise. This happens after I've been driving for a few minutes. And occurs when in neutral, 1st - 6th gear, clutch in or out. As long as I'm moving this sound is appearing. This started a few months ago as being an occasional sound. But is now more frequent / always appearing. Thanks for any tips / possible ideas on what this could be.

Sounds more like a bad U-joint or driveshaft than a clutch or transmission noise.

If it is only heard when you're rolling then most likely a drive shaft issue cdeslandes said.

check your u joints adn replace if neccesary! any play is bad play swap them out if they rattle not an expensive fix and good practice for a trail repair!
