Iv got a bad scrapping noise comming from the rear of my jeep. Its really bad when cold or after sitting for a bit but quites down a bit after driving. I just changed the tcase fluid and dif fluid niether were in horrible shape. Any ideas?

And also when me and a mate where change fluids he took the wrong plug out of tcase. The one he took out had a spring on it. It was located in front half of tcase and was around a 23-25mm bolt. I just put it back in because I had to get to work this morning, any ideas on what this is and if it will mess anything up?

No rocks... It could be driveshaft as I have a 3 inch lift on a shorty but would that make a metal grinding noise only until warmed up?
