Currently have the 2.5 4 banger, ax5, and the 231j t case. Its way under powered! Im thinking of doing either a 4.0 with the ax15, or a 350 v8 with the 700r4 auto with the 231k t case opinions please....

I am looking into swapping from the same. I have heard and read on here that if you are going to swap you may as well go for the V8 because you are going to have to re weld motor mounts and everything else anyway. I was looking at the 5.3L LM7 though cause I want fuel injection. I have not made my final decision yet. I went and looked at a motor for sale near me this weekend and it was not the best looking motor on the market so I passed.

Yeah that would be cool. I thought of during a turbo on the current set up but im pretty sure I would shoot a piston through the firewall if I did.

mine is not too underpowered off road, but on road its like it doesn't want to work at all.
