ok I see people selling mirror brackets for 97-02, and other people selling brackets for 03-06...does it really matter? arent they all the same anyways? heres 03-06 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JEEP...ryZ33649QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

heres 97-02 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mirr...ryZ33649QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Actually no they are different. If you go to quadratec you can actually buy newer mirrors to replace the old style ones.

The JK has a different hinge than the TJ. The TJ has two on each side, whereas the JK has one in the center.

I'm not sure what the differences are but most parts for TJ's are 97-02 and 03-06. Find the ones for your year to avoid headaches.

Here is my two cents. If you simply relocate your mirrors, th epassenger side moves forward too far to be useful with the doors on (more so with soft upper doors). So you either need to find one where you can mount that side in a position where you can see it through the windshield, or try something else.

I prefer the QuickMirror you can buy at quadratec. Leave the factory mirror attached to your door, and when you remove them, slide these mirrors into your door hinge. An added bonus is these can be rotated downward so you have a low vantage point when wheeling.

I have an '06. I just mounted the OEM mirrors on and leave them. Don't move them back and forth. Drivers side basically makes no diff whatsoever, and passenger side works fine, but I make an adjustment when doors go on/off.

Do you have pictures of these on your Jeep? I am not a big fan of most of the newer style mirror movers. Looking for a set that I like.

Screw it! Lol, you know what I did? The law says you need (1) side mirror. I went to Kmart and purchased a small bike mirror and mounted it to the hinge.

Now, I don't really use it when riding with the doors off but I was pulled over and the "rookie" cop in my town tried bullshitting me. When he called for assistance, a veteran cop knew me and let me go with a "warning".

Here in bama, as far as i know, you just need A mirror, so my rear view inside the jeep is sufficient. I drive around with my doors off all the time, pass cops, sit next to cops at lights... never been pulled over for it.

Is that $34.99 each or for the pair?
And what kind/size bit will I need to move the mirrors?

I put a set on my jeep a few months ago. That dude is right the passenger mirror is not in your line of vision unless you lean way over to the passenger side and squint one eye, or you can just glance over your shoulder. I tried to take a couple of pics with this pile of [email protected] phone hope it helps.
