having trouble with my model 20 rear end replaced with i piece axles and have lost the passengers side Bering twice.seems as if the axle tube may be bent . has any one seen this before?

There is a spacer that is used on the one piece axles and it needs to be ground down to ensure the proper spacing. If that's not done properly then the bearings will be too tight and overheat. Also make sure the install of the bearings and spacer is correct. Call the manufacturer of the kit to get the proper instructions and tolerances. My son had his one piece put in by a mechanic and it burned through two sets of bearings on the pass. side in about 100 miles. Took it to a much better mechanic and the problem was in the spacer install....totally wrong setup and specs. during install.

The amc 20 has some sloppy specs on the axles by the wheel bearings and that's why the spacer needs to be customized to each axle.

thanks for the info does seem like the bearing is getting hot and boiling the grease dry.did the 2 piece style have the bearing in the opposite direction as the 1 piece
