i dont know if you need the entire length of the lug bolts that the rim sits on, but you can put a spacer behind it or use some washers. This put my spare out just enough to clear my bumper. Quick fix until i finish fabbing up my rear bumper and tire carrier. Its just so much cheaper to build one yourself if you have the resources.

adapter

ive saw adapters on ebay that fit on the spare bracket that moves the spare mounting up and out to clear the bumper

Yeah mine won't even get on the lug bolts at all. I guess I will have to get that Tomken spacer. I am just weary about the tailgate hinges and stock spare carrier holding up.

Make sure that the tire rests solidly on the bumpstops or you will get vibes and screw up your gate.
