All - I'll be purchasing a 2016 JKU Rubicon in a couple months as I return from an overseas assignment. Options I've decided upon are auto, 4.10s, etc. I'll also add front and rear small steel bumpers later.

I would like to run 35s and this will be my daily driver with occasional light off-roading and trail riding. Nothing very technical or crazy. Easy beginners stuff.

This forum seems to promote the Mopar lifts and it appears as though guys like them.

Couple questions:
- Can I run 315s or 35s w/o rubbing and solid back spacing on the 2" lift?

- Does the 4" require any cutting or modifications or is it bolt on?

- Any major performance or technical difference gains with the 4" vs 2" other than increased height?

- Any disadvantages with the 4" vs the 2"?

- Would you recommend another lift and why?

Sorry for all the noob questions. I've trolled a lot on this forum in an attempt to learn before I purchase. I'm open to all input on these lifts. If you have pics of the 4" with 35s, pls feel free to post pics as I have not seen many pics of this setup.

Thank you!

You will have better luck posting this in the JK section. Maybe one of the mods could move it for you. Good luck with your new JK. I'm sure you'll love it.

Before this gets moved, I would DEFINITELY go 4" for the longer-wheelbased Unlimited. The longer the wheelbase, the more lift and bigger the tire size it requires to clear the same obstacles a non-Unlimited model does.
