Mopar Auxiliary Switch Bank Kit - Install Question

1884 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Shooting Star
I am installing the Mopar Auxiliary Switch Bank Kit into my Jeep Wrangler JL Sport (2018).

I have everything wired up but I have a few questions about getting it fully operational. I am hoping someone with experience can help me out.

It looks like I need to take my Jeep to the dealer to flash the software on the Head Unit? Is this 100% required or is there some way to work around this?

Also, I noticed a couple things after finishing the installation:
  1. The switches are not functional, meaning that the light doesn't turn on/off when I click them. Is this expected until I update the software? Or should they be working now? Are there any other functionality tests that I can run now?
  2. The Automatic Stop/Start functionality is showing as disabled. This is an A symbol with an exclamation point. I am not too concerned with this feature .... but I am wondering if this is an indication that I missed something with the wiring?

You can use a programmer like Jscan or Tazer. I did the install on mine and used the tazer. Worked great.

Hey David, thanks for the replay.

Before you used the Tazer were the buttons unresponsive (did not light up)?
Nothing worked until I programmed it as I remember

Thanks again. I have put in my order for Tazer JL Mini – Z Automotive. I will let you know how it goes once it arrives and I have a chance to work on it.
