I got my poor bastard when it had 169K on its 2.5. It was working like a crappy tuned up diesel. I changed the timing chain and everything went back to normal. Yesterday I got my buddy to let me use his shop to change oil so, I did replace all of it - engine, transmission, t-case, and both diffs. As I was driving back home after work today I notices some funny sound coming from the engine that was awfully reminding a very loose head components working. The sound supposedly was going away as RPM were rising (or at least I couldn't hear it behind the engine working). I have Shell Fire & Ice 10W30 in the pan that I put in last nigh for the winter. Kind of at the top of "Safe", but not overflowing. It was kind of confusing since it happened on new oil batch. I just in case bought a bottle of Lucas but haven't put it in just yet. Any thoughts?
