Newb here. Getting ready to order a 2013 jk unlimited auto with 35's or 33's with 3.73 gears. What kind of mpgs can I expect with 35's? How much better would mpg be with 33's?

This is what I am looking for. Anybody have any idea on the estimated highway mpg with this setup? Does the AEV procal module help with mpg at all? Anybody with 33's and 3.73's? Thanks for your post.I have a 2012, auto with 3.73s
At the 4800mile mark, I installed a 2.5 BB lift.. Saw no change in mpg
At 5000mile mark, I installed 35s. I'm running KM2 35x12.5x15
Mpg went from 17s to 14s. This is 95% city/rural driving. Longest being on the hwy is maybe 2-5 miles.
Have not done a straight hwy only trip yet.
AND NO SPEEDO CALIBRATION HAS BEEN DONE .... So far
I'm running a matching spare and a ACE stubby stinger. The stinger was installed a month after and I saw no change in mpg
If I have the Jeep buttoned up... I get on the high side of 14mpg
Forgot to add, I'm in St. Louis.
18 mpg sounds reasonable. I really want 35's but am scared of the mpg I will have to live with.I have a 13 sport with 3.73's,Teraflex leveling kit and 33's, has around 500 miles on it I'm getting around 18mpg avg.
What app is that? Looks pretty coolI've got a '13 JKUR (4.10 gears) on 35" tires with 7xx on the odometer and I'm getting ~14 MPG.
I'm only on my third tank of gas.
I'm fully expecting that to slightly improve as the engine breaks in a little.

Stupid app didn't take first portion of message. On my 33x12.5x15's I was getting 17's in city. And on a a 600 mile trip to Florida I got 19.8 MPG.Ricky-2012JKU said:Now I have km2 35x12.5x15, after 3 tanks avg 16.4.
My jeep is a 2012 JKU 3.73 gears. Also a note I don't keep the spare on the jeep. Also these numbers are with the AEV procal adjusting tire size.
On top of my jeep driving like crap. I was only getting 14mpg withy the 33's after the procal 17's mpg.modeltrainman said:Well running 35,s on a 2013 rubi unlimited auto 4.10 gears 1700miles on the jeep, lift has been on for 2 weeks went from 16.8 stock to 15.5 with lift and tires(not running nitto,s) 75% highway 25% city, used the pro cal because the speedo was off and trans was shitting quicker than normal. After pro-cal trans went back to normal pro cal did not do anything for mpg.
I was getting about 15 with my 01 tj it had 32's on it so I'm happy, but watching the little eco light might have a little to do with mpg also. PS the Aev procal does nothing for your mpg all it does is calibrate for tire size so your read out is correct.18 mpg sounds reasonable. Road trip by Darren stone. Pretty cool app, and it'll keep track of services/ expenses too.vwphibs said:What app is that? Looks pretty cool
So, looks like you only lost 0.6 mpg going from 35's to 33's. Not too bad.Now I have km2 35x12.5x15, after 3 tanks avg 16.4.

This is not true. I was only getting 14mpg before the procal, if your computer doesnt have the correct tire size it messes up the shifting which can and does affect your MPG. On top of fixing your speedomoter it lets the ECU shift gears on time which can increase your MPG and did for my jeep. Now this is not a big deal for the manual cause you can just shift whenever you want. For the auto it does give you better MPG indirectly.PS the Aev procal does nothing for your mpg all it does is calibrate for tire size so your read out is correct.
