I had my Banks monster cat-back installed before I installed my 2" teraflex lift . Now i notice that the rear shock is in contact with the muffler. Is this bad? Im guessing it is hahah and if the shock were to be heated up to much it probably could blow the shock . I need some info though on if im just worried too much about it or if its actually a big deal and needs fixed asap. Thanks!

From the back looking forward.

From directly under the contact point of shock and muffler.

Is there any play in the exhaust system to adjust it side-side? You should be able to adjust the brackets(may require bending). If you don't feel comfortable then take it to a muffler shop.

This is the only thing i have in mind until i can get it to a shop this weekend. I know ghetto as hell......but i figured with my drive across town to get to work then the jeep shuts off...my muffler shouldn't get above 500-700 F and hopefully the flashpoint of these is above that. Either way....am i just to worried or should i def get this fixed soon? aka and take the bamboo off haha

Mine did the same thing. Just flip that bracket holding the pipe around like this:

Phone takes pictures sideways when you hold it straight for some reason.

97_Wrangler, I would recommend Moabrubi's idea....not 2 hard to do the fix and def moved it out of the way a good inch or two. Im also glad i caught it when i did.....a few more weeks and bet that dimple would of make its way into a hole....and there would of been another $70+ on a new shock when they have only been on there for a week haha.
