So i bought my 2014 Sahara bone stock about 10 months ago. I haven't done too much to it. Here's some pics for a visual timeline of my progression.

When I bought it...

First mod was an 18" black antenna haha. First REAL mod was a headlight retrofit. I've done a dozen or so retrofits so that was a necessity after seeing the poor output of the stock rounds. I also vinyl tinted my foglights

Then came the lift and new wheels and used tires. I wasn't sure how much I wanted to lift it so I started with the rough country 2.5 spacers and shock extensions. Quickly added in the teraflex 9550 shocks, aev geometry correction kit and teraflex rear lower trackbar bracket. It drives so good now. Only thing I may want to add is a teraflex monster track bar. Wheels are MBs and tires were 35-12.50-17 Cooper stts. They were worn funny from the previous owner so I resold them and bought new duratracs. They are 100x better!

And just a couple small things lately, the factory fogs are so dull I can't see them with my headlights on so I decided to clean up the front end a little and do something custom. I got the base bumper with no foglights and eventually will be fitting a 15" or so LED light bar in the middle of it and making some sort of flush mount for it to sit nicely. Also, I sprayed that ugly rusty silver muffler black. Yuck. Oh, and added a backup camera!

Looks really nice, you should consider a spare tire carrier next.
Couple small things I forgot to add. Added smoked front turn signals and fender light, removed my step sides and added rubicon rails, and grab handles for the front and rear. My dog absolutely loves the jeep by the way :)

With my aluminum wheel and lightweight duratrac tire it only weighs about 7 pounds more than my factory 18" Sahara wheel and tire. From the research I've done it sounds like that's not going to be an issue. If I wheel I'll definitely put it inside though.
If a moderator sees this, would you mind moving this to the build forum please? I posted it on the wrong one apparently.
Awesome rig so far, what wheels do u have? They look great with anvil.

They're MB 352s. They look great but they're not my favorite, kind of cheaply made. I wish I would've spent just a little more and got methods.
What brand is the back up camera, where did you get it and how is it installed?

Here's what I bought. You also need an rca video couple to connect the harness to the camera. Then get the vehicle flashed at the dealer and the sales code added for the backup camera.

Sweet, thanks for the info. Is it mounted in the spare or near the hitch?
No problem, it's flush mounted in the bumper between the spare and hitch. The 35" tire blocks about 1/3 of my view but it's not bad. I really wanted it for just gauging depth when backing up.

i gave this a shot with an adaptor for a few days and it rattled and bounced around like a mofo. I could hear my tailgate getting beat up. Unless you are somehow able to get the bumpstops perfectly up against the tire (and the offset of your wheel has it close enough), I wouldn't recommend keeping it on the stock tailgate.

I was in the same boat, figured i'd run it on the stock carrier for a few months while i saved up some cash and nope...i cringed everytime i heard the wheel bouncing up and down. now im broke :atomic:

I got daystar extended bump stops and adjusted the latch do it doesn't rattle at all. It's been 5 months with it on there and no issues yet. I really only drive it on the weekends so that could have something to do with it. I didn't need an adapter or spacer either. It fit without it.
Went exploring this past weekend with the wife and pup...

the backspacing of the wheel and how flush it sits could have a lot to do with it. If they sit nice and flush and the extended bumpstops make solid contact, then it could be a workable solution. For my situation with the AEV wheels there was way too much space between the bumpstop and tire, even the extended daystars did not seem like they would work.
