Anyone have recommendations? We’ve taken it to run a diagnostic twice, didn’t show any problems and it didn’t do it for them either time. It’s not started 3 times this week alone. Seems like it is usually when it’s been turned off for a short time, but has also been sitting for hours too and wouldn't start. It’s under warranty still and have an appointment for a third trip to find the problem. Can someone tell me what to have them look for? It’s actually my 16 year old car and it’s stressing her out and us too leaving her stranded so often.

And if you have push button start, try your other key fob.

I had a similar issue with mine. I got Jeep Care involved and they actually have a Technical Service Bulletin Issued for certain VIN's which solved mine. The part that has fixed the problem is part # 52108308AC (temperature range sensor for the transmission). The wrong sensor with a lower temperature setting was installed in the harness by the vendor. They replaced the entire harness and Transmission Control Module. I hope this works and fixes yours or points you in the right direction. Take a video if you can the next time it happens to show the dealer.

Next time it does it try the remote start. My Jeep was doing the same thing and the AWESOME service rep had me use the remote start which basically diagnosed the problem....... computer key chip recognition thing.
Hope this helps

Thank you! I read someone else had a similar issue. Have had the battery and connections check two times so this seems to be the issue.

Hi JennHiatt,
We're sorry to hear about your experience. If any additional assistance is needed during your dealer visit, please send us a private message. We'd be happy to connect you with a Case Specialist to assist!

The battery terminals and clamps are not sized correctly.... resulting in a loose fit.... My friend had the same problem for many months.... He bought the "fix"... No more problems... I posted that somewhere on this forum....

My 2018 Wrangler won’t start randomly

The TSB is at this other thread as well as the discussion of the issue. It’s a problem specific to the 2018 JK, and I wouldn’t assume you’re dealer knows about the TSB... some dealers are solid technically, others not so much.

Post #31 has the TSB attached:
