As well do I! Keep it up.
Thats a great looking 5, what else were you looking to do to it?
Looking to do a 4.3 swap and redo the suspension and all new wirning. Also going to pull the tub spring and rinoline the whole thing inside and out. Oh and a new top.
love it!

4.3 efi or carburetor? I too did Rhino inside, and underbody, but stuck with painting the outside for looks. If it were around at the time, I would have chosen the new Rhino optional spray on that is hard, similar to linex. But inside the tub, I'd still go with the softer/rubbery Rhino lining. my 2 cents.
I couldn't get any of your photos to load. Oh well... I put a 4.3 V6 CARBURETED engine in my YJ. It is a great choice. Can't wait to actually see your build.

Take care,
Im thinking about a tbi 4.3 but I scored a sweet deal on a LS 5.3. Im still looking on the adapter stuff. I havent made up my mind yet well see.
Got some parts today. Going to get my speedo working again. I recieved my new speedo gear for my transfercase and speedo cable. Also got new mirror bushings so my mirrors wont flop around going down the road.
Let me know how your 5.3 swap goes. I've got one going in my CJ-7 right now. No where near running.
The 5.3 swap isnt going for now the motor was busted beond repair so im on the search for another. But to answer your question I found a guy in West Plains MO that builds LS seires harnesses for a good price to where all you have to do is hook up a couple of wires and supply a fuel pump and a return line. Very simple set up. Ive seen one of his set ups in a 74 Chevy pick up and it is awesome looking and even better running.

Ive been working sooo much I have not had time to do much. I have got my winch mount, Hi-Lift mount and reciever finished. Also my 5.3 turned out to be junk so the search is on again. My youngest son came up to me the other day and said" I built a Jeep just like yours" I said cool lets see it. so that is what the Lego pic is. I thought if that is what he can do with Legos he is going to pretty darn good at building Jeeps. I laso got my speedo working again. Yaaaaaa, no more cop stopping for going to fast.

Well guys i have my new tail light in. The install went nice. I used boat trailer led lights. I used the stock buckets and just cut a hole in the bottom of the bucket. The lights are a sealed unit so I didn't have to worry about sealing them. I will try to get pics up later.
picked up a new back seat on CL for a good price. it was brand new in the plastic. got it installed looks great and feels good. no more towel so the seat dont rough up your legs. probably order the trans adapter and new wiring harness next month. I think its time for the 4.3 swap and clean up under the dash.
Just got finished putting all new spring bushings and new shackles. The old bushings were falling apart and had no inner sleves. So I got all polyurathanes and installed this morning. I will try to load some pics later of some of my recently installed stuff.
I like it! Nice rig, just right for tearing up the back country! :thumb:
The rear bumper is homemade. But im going to have to modify to fit my cooler rack.
