So i got a 1991 jeep wrangler and i have fixed the dash speakers to polk audio speakers the 4x6 coaxial ones and a new blaupunkt radio Atlanta 110 model and got the wire fixed in the driver side speaker. But for some reason when i want to turn up the radio the speakers start making that blowing/spitting sound whats making this happen and would a amp help?

Radio's not putting out enough power for the speakers? That was the problem with mine that a very knowledgeable person help me fix

You need to figure out how many watts the speakers are and get a head unit to support them.

Make sure that you have them wired right + to + and - to -. Those Polk speakers are really testy with that, if you get it wrong they sound horrible.

It is common enough it would definitely be worth a look.

If you head unit is not putting out enough power and that's causing your problem, then, yes an amp would help. Get one with as many Channels as you have speakers to hook up to it. (ex. 4 speakers, 4 channel amp). GL

Alright I'm probably going to get a amp and the pod speakers in the rollbar and I got my polk speakers on amazon.com cause amazon has everything

Those look right they make a couple different models.
