:confused:Hey guys i need some help, i have a 2000 wrangler with 33's and she is so slow . someone suggested i do a gear swap but i have no idea where to start or ifs its something i can do myself. My mechanic skills are not ACE rated but i enjoy working on my jeep.Any Ideas?

Yeah the ring and pinion swap is some high tech mechanics, a well established mechanic can do it but your looking at around atleast 1200 for front and back. Is it auto or stick?

its a stick. So how about finding a trashed jeep and swapping out the diffs?
If you can find one that someone is parting out and happens to have 4.56 or 4.88 gears, then it could be worth it. But its pretty convenient just to call your local axle shop and set up appointment, drop your Jeep off, and pick it back up at the end of the day, pay him $1200, and drive off happily geared in to the sunset.
