I want to but a decent gps navigation unit that will work well with route finding in very remote trails. Don't want handheld. Don't want to spend$500. More like$200. Any advice?

How about an Android Tablet, with either 'Backcountry Navigator' or 'GAIA GPS'? I've been using GAIA (only because there is a large user base) and it works fine. I've been thinking about going to 'Backcountry Navigator' since it supports APRS (packet radio for hams).
