So I received my Detroit Trutrac LSD today from Quadratec.

I ordered this Detroit Trutrac by Eaton Performance Limited Slip Differential for 07-15 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK with Dana 44 Rear Axle - Quadratec

The packing list that came with the order lists a different item, quadratec part #16100.608

The eaton part # stamped on the differential I received is 913A589.

The Quadratec web-service rep I chatted with told me this is the wrong part for dana 44 with 4.56 gears.

The Eaton application chart says this part # is correct for 07-12 JK dana 44 all ratios.

Can anyone please confirm whether Detroit Trutrac 913A589 is correct for 4.56 gears on a 2015 JKU dana 44 rear. I would really like to avoid having to wait until monday to call Quadratec and sort this out.

Thanks for the response, sorry im not completely clear on this as its the same as what ive found web searching. Does that mean its only for 3.73 and numerically lower gear ratios or that it also works with numerically higher if you drill out the bolt holes?

When the gear ratio is noted as 3:73 and down, it means numerically higher in number but a lower ratio.
ie, 3:73-4:56-4:88-5:13..and so opposite for up ie, 3:73-3:21- etc.....higher ratio.

Oh ok thanks, still getting used to that stuff. Never dealt with gears on my other vehicles. Gotta wonder why the Quadratec guy told me the part I had was the wrong one based on the # i told him was stamped on it. Go figure.

That's the number I used when I regeared to 4.10s last year. It does fit ALL the JK 44 diffs. I put one up front too,(different number as it's in a D30) they work great.
