Alright my 94 YJ current went was under sugery...

I put an SYE kit in my jeep after blowing apart the slip yoke...Got it all installed and all up a running....

It sat for two weeks in the driveway, not started up at all... Now when i took it out for a drive, When i push the clutch in (while driving) it either drops down to 100 rpms and then recover to about 700 rpms, Or it will completely stall?

What to do, what should i check?

after it drives for a while or at startup too? Does it randomly or is it every time?

My first guess might be a map sensor... they are about $45 @ AutoZone, but if the employees ther have any intelligence, they can test it. On my XJ its located on the firewall almost behind the valve cover. Got a 3-wire lead to it and a vacum hose. 2 screws hold it on. But that would be my first quick guess because I had the same symptoms with my XJ(auto), it idled ruff and stalled out a lot before replacing it.

Just went outside to the jeep to take a quick look around... It also appear that my engine coolant is below add.... I need to top of my tranny fluid also, and my T-case fluid ontop of that...

Don't that all would effect it, but who knows...

THat wouldn't effect it.... Do you know how to do a "check engine light test?" If so do it and record the code sequence and take it to an AutoZOne or Checkers or whatever, they should be able to tell ya whay it means. If not, here is how.

Hope in the car with a pencil and pad of paper. Stick key in the ignition, turn it to on(not start), then off, repeat 2 more tomes then back to on and leave it in the on position.

On--Off-On--Off-On-Off-On

THe check engine light should flash a sequence... it should start off with a "12"(not sure if thats the right number but its something close)

Flash--FlashFlash---

And then the sequences that fallow need to be written down and checked at the auto part shop.

Good luck to ya! :D

Went to autozone, got the part.... It was alltile shorter than the original, I said whatever let me see what happens..... Got it in... Idle shot right up to 2 grand, wrong part...

Could their also be the possibility of a vacum leak occuring?

Yeah thats possible too. Check the hoses, and fallow them back to the manifold. Also get a can of Throttlebody Cleaner and cleanout the throttle(while running) and squirt a bit into some of the hoses. It might help a bit. But I'd check the hoses first and replace any if cracked or worn out or even if they are just lose.

What part was it that you got exactly? The MAP sensor? Or TPS(throttle position sensor)?

Thats not what i think whats causing it to stall....... its just another thin on my list to take care of....my speedo has not been working since i had my T-case rebuilt and my SYE installed (yesterday).... on top of that my clutch throw-out bearing is starting to squek when it does havent any pressure on it.... and the list goes on...:(
