I need some help as I can't find a solid answer elsewhere. :pc-ouch:My dad Has a 1982 CJ-7 Limited that we are going to drop a Sb350 in to, we are wanting to get rid of the T-5 but keep the Dana 300. I've done some research and the internet tells me that the NV4500 will accept the Dana 300 (23 Spline), but with there being 3 different NV4500s The Dodge LD 23 spline, Dodge HD 29 Spline and the GM HD 32 Spline. Now i'm drawn to the Gm due to knowing it will bolt to the engine no problem but the T-Case Splines are different:banghead:. where as the Dodge LD the T-Case will bolt right up but no guarantee on the engine to trans fit :banghead: Can Anyone help Clear this up and what Trans would be better

Why don't you give Advance Adapter a call? If not, try Novak? You can look both company's up on the web and give them a call.

The light duty is the one you want for your situation.

Both the GM and Dodge have the same pattern to bolt on the bell housing.

Dodge has the correct output splines like you said, but the input stub/ shaft is too long and wrong spline for a GM engine so will need to be changed.
52-0221 : GM NV4500 input shaft.
From what I have heard this is easier route than changing the output on the GM to match your Tcase..

The GM version was offered with a granny low first gear in 92' and 93' though if you needed deep gearing.

The bell housing is specific to the NV4500 and not the same as the Gm 4speeds so they are a little harder to source used..
Some sources
1992–1994 GMC & Chevrolet C/K 2500 and 3500
1995–2000 GMC & Chevrolet C/K 2500 and 3500
2001–2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and 3500 and 2007 Silverado Classic
2001–2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500

Or the easy route
712576 : Chevy V8 & V6 to the 1996 & up GM version NV4500 5 speed, adapter bellhousing kit.

Good Luck,

And X2 for talking with someone at Novak or Advanced Adapters

I love my NV4500!
