CEL fired and I pulled the code. P0743. So it's the solenoid I get that but what should I check before diving into the tranny. Also the light came on at a stand still when first starting up so that makes me lean towards an electrical issue. What should I check first? Fuse? Where is that? If I do end up going into the tranny can I do it myself? Most I've done is a fluid dump and change. Let me know what you guys think.

The transmission torque converter lockup solenoid electrical connector is at the very rear of the transmission, it's a small two connector plug. The bigger plug, above it IIRC, is for the Neutral Safety Switch connector. I'd make sure the smaller connector is still connected and not damaged. That'd be the first thing to look at.
