I have a 4" rough country lift kit that was on the jeep when i bought it. The shocks are not necessarily blown but the bushings are wiped out. The jeep has a little rougher ride than I would prefer but I understand with the short wheel base along with lifted and bigger tires its not going to be luxury. duh. So I was thinking replacing the shocks so the lower bushing that has the sleve in it dosnt continue to wear and possibly give a rough ride. Is there any replacement shocks that I can use with my lift kit or should I call up rough country and ask for replacement shocks from them?

Before replacing your shocks check your shackle bolts many times they are way too tight. I keep mine at 35-40ftlbs so they swing more freely thus letting the springs work. Also RCs sprigns are not know to be the smoothest out there. But when replacing your shocks any 4in lift YJ shock will work.

Drop a quaart of ATF3/4 in it and run a short cycle oil change and see fi the quiets things down. You can also add some Marvel Mystery oil and look for the same results.
