My buddy is about to enter "our world" and he's close to getting this Jeep. Just wanted to have all my fellow jeepers on here to give some advice regarding what he's about to get into. Jeep has had 2 owners, last owners of 4 years were elderly and only put 3500 miles on it during the time they had it. Not sure yet if it has dana 35 or 44. No lift, the tires are 31s. Alright, let me know what ya think folks so I can steer him in the right direction.

I thought it was wayyy over priced too but the blue book says 9500. He went there today and talked to the guy about trading in his car. He owes a little more on the car than whats its worth and the guy told him he'd take the trade and make the price for the Jeep $10,200 out the door. For a '97 I still think that sounds a little high, but man its pretty much spotless and very low miles considering the year. After searching locally it seems like the price is about average compared to the other asking prices. Majority of the early and mid 2000 models are marked at around $15000. Found 1 '98 with asking price of $9800. So....

Think I remember Jerry commenting on how much he liked his '97 compared to the newer one he has now and would like some insight on a comparison of the newer ones and this one.
