Stupid question...I can only assume you can't use both together? The reason I ask is I had to drop my tank, I'm in the process of reinstalling it AND replacing all of the hardware I had to cut out. I hear a fair amount of people that use Never See but what does this do for hardware coming loose? Just use lock nuts or something?

they are opposites man... the locktite holds the threads together not letting them come apart. The Never Sieze/Anti-Sieze coats the threads like grease and allows them to come loose easy. An example where you want Anti-Sieze would be on lug nuts as they're always on and off... A cylinder head or bumper bolts, you'd want Locktite.

Gas tank bolts... RED Locktite, you don't want that to ever fall off lol

cool beans. I'd think if you mixed 'em the locktite would harden the anti-seaze or the anti-seaze would soften the locklite. And the red -vs- blue is in case you ever want to remove bolts but do not want them vibrating lose. Like door hinges or something you'd want blue. It holds pretty good but not like the red. Red is considered permanent...

You have to be careful using lock-tite sometimes it can work to well and if you ever need to get it off you could run into trouble. I personally would just clean the threads really well and not use anything. But you can use never seize as long as you tighten to proper torque. IMO

I would use antisieze if you are going to use stainless hardware to remount your tank. If not, do as suggested and dont bother with any Loctite. Just use lock washers or Nylocks. If for some reason you decide to take the tank down and youve used red Loctite you certainly dont want to use heat to get them to turn loose.
