Just wanted to say Hi. I was in the market for a TJ Rubicon but after looking at the prices and condition of the ones for sale I ended up buying a 1994 YJ with the 4.0 and automatic transmission. I have previously owned two YJs, a 1989 with the 4.2, which I hated, and a 1991 with the 4.0, which I loved. Both of those were manuals.
This weekend I'll be changing all the fluids, plugs, wires, cap, and checking and greasing all the suspension/steering components. Anything else I should do that I'm forgetting?
This is also the first Jeep I've owned with a soft top, and already it's annoying me. I'm in the Seattle area and haven't found many hard tops for sale, and none for a price I'd consider reasonable. It almost looks like it would be cheaper for me to buy an 4-cyl YJ with a hard top and hard doors, swap my soft top/half-hard doors, and then sell it again. Any thoughts?
Oh, and some of the hard tops I've seen have rear wipers, rear defrost, and a dome light. I don't think my Jeep has any switches or wiring for that. Any harness that's plug&play or do I just need to wire them all from scratch?
Thanks!
