Hey all I just got my first wrangler at the age of 21 yesterday and couldn't be happier. One thing I know I want to change is the speaker set up I have a nice pioneer head unit with bluetooth/USB that I want to take from my old car and put it in this would that be fine? I also have two nice 6.5" speakers from my old car that will fit into the wrangler. I know that the sounder speakers are waterproof and probably have a higher chance of getting wet so should I change out the front speakers? Thank you!

Your Pioneer head unit will be fine, but you'll need a new dash plate, either Double DIN or Single DIN depending on what head unit you're using - https://amzn.to/2uK6gEJ or https://amzn.to/2GAuTt6
You'll also want to evaluate how much integration you want in the vehicle - for example, does it have steering wheel buttons and such? The least expensive option here is the PAC adapter and harness - https://amzn.to/2H72bgl
If you're looking for full integration with gauges and other ODB2 data, you'll need to look into the iDataLink modules, prices ramp up quickly on those.
You'll also probably need an antenna adapter - https://amzn.to/2GAkfyz
I can't really provide much insight into the speakers as I haven't replaced mine (yet) but the sound bar is designed to protect the speakers so you're probably fine there.

I just got my first new JK and I'm 73 years old, no upgrades to anything especially the radio system, when you only listen to talk radio who needs upgrades in that department. In fact I have not upgraded anything to my 2017 Willys and don't intend to, for me, stock rocks.
