Good morning,

I just traded my 1990 YJ in for a 2011 Sport Unlimited (with Zombie package). It's a 6 speed. My other car and my old YJ are manual transmissions too, so I'm used to a clutch.... but the clutch in the Zombie only engages really high up in the clutch pedal's range of motion. I questioned the dealer on it and he said it was a bit different, but he had it checked out and assures me the clutch is fine. It has 41K miles on it. Should I be worried, or press on them for a closer look? I have a 3 month warranty with the dealer, but don't want to scream and shout (and end up making enemies) about nothing =)

Cheers,

Mark.

I will second it's normal. Mine catches very high the second you have to put pressure on the clutch pedal it's already in the motion of disengaging. It took me a bit getting used to since you don't have to push it to the floor, half way has been working well for me.
