Received some new wheels shipped today. Checked a couple of them over and noticed a very small ding/dent on the inner part of the wheel (meaning part that faces towards the body of the Jeep) where the tire itself would rest on. Wondering if there would be any concerns with the seal of the tire, bead leak, etc??? Or am I over thinking it? Is it on every wheel? It's a nothing flaw, no leak from there. there are jeeps running around with much worse than that. But,,, new wheels should be without a mark. You get to put the marks on them.

I'm going through a similar situation now with a Quadratec wheel. One was damaged in shipping and has a dings on both the inner and outer lip. Quadratec stepped up, and they are shipping me out a new one today, no questions asked. I could have lived with it and gotten them mounted up, but I paid to have new wheels and I'm waiting for the replacement to arrive so I can. At the end of the day, the damage to your wheel won't be visible, and wont affect anything. Only you can make the call.

It appears to be on the inside. If it were mine, I would install it and forget it as it will not be seen once installed and have no affect on function. I do understand wanting new things in perfect condition.

Some tires have a "bead protector" that will cover that even on the inside.

Q-tec and others ship wheels via USPS and UPS and the freight throwers are not exactly highly motivated to minimize damage to packages. Id wait to inspect all of them and then take pics of the damaged units and see what they want to do for you. New is new and unblemished, not new and well, it has issues.

Here is an current example of a wheel returned to Q-tec from shipping damage. They sell them on eBay "as is". I bought my AEV Saltas from them this way a year ago. Cosmetic dings between 2-6mm in size. Completely hidden when I had them mounted. I paid roughly 40% of new when I won the auction. $260x5 new = $1,300. Got mine shipped for less than $550.
