I have been thinking about swapping my Sport S rims and tires to 2013 Rubicon take-offs. I was wondering would the Rubicon wheels limit me to fewer future tire sizes than the AEV Pintlers? I eventually want to add bigger tires without a lift and wonder if there is a benefit to one wheel over the other? Anyone know?

Thanks!

The factory wheels have awful backspacing, 6.5" I think. This will make it tough to go with larger tires if you don't want to lift.

The ideal backspacing for larger tires is 4.5" or less. So you're better off with the Pintlers.

Plus, aren't the Sport S wheels the same as Rubi? 32" BFG MT?

That is just a little bigger that stock, but a bit wider?

My objective is to get the tallest tire possible without a lift. I guess I am wondering if the Pintlers allow a tire that is taller than what i could do with the stock rim. Sorry for the amateurish nature of this, but I don't want to buy a set of Rubi rims and then find out I can't really up the tire height with them.
