MVUM = Motor Vehicle Usage Map. It's supposed to the authoritative source of which roads it's legal to drive on in the National Forest. Here's the link to the Monongahela National Forest (MNF) MVUM. All of the MNF roads are maintained so there's nothing that a stock 4WD can't handle. The nice thing about exploring the MNF is there are quite a few primitive camping spots. I recommend the area around Spruce Knob and Davis/Black Water Falls. Lots of camping in those areas. However, for WV county road exploring, I've never found a decent camp primitive camp site as the land of both sides is gonna be private.

I'll post up next time I go out.
