Hey guys I've been reminiscing about the yj my dad had when I was a kid. Well I'm not a kid now I just got my diploma and a good career path growing and I'm thinking with a lot of patience time and advice I could build a yj. The 87 jeep that sat in the driveway was sold when I was 13 and I miss it like crazy. Basically I'd like to hear from y'all some tips or tricks or whatever else I could be expecting. Here's what I had planned (just like dads jeep) Dana 44 front 9' rear depending on money 4.56 gears locked front and rear. 327 small block chevy with a th350 transmission and probably a np205 transfer case. I'm in the process of finding the right yj right now but this is the general idea. I've got the resources to do all this Id just like to know from more experienced people what I could be expecting with swapping the drivetrain. I know there might be some better drivetrain to put under this thing but like I said, I'd like to make it like my dads. Thanks for any advice or tips and hope to hear from y'all!
