I dont think it would be an issue in south florida, but it isnt a wise thing to do for a Jeep that would run in the colder climates. Oil, doesnt matter what type, gets thicker with a drop in temperature.
They claim that synthetic doesnt do that, but it still changes the molecular structure.
30W oil would be way too thick for the pump and filter system in an NP231 once it got below 32 degrees outside.
