Hello,
I am about to replace the standard radio on my 2015 jk sport (basic unit with Sirius but no unconnect - 130?)
Are there any considerations about alarms and/or reprogramming of the vehicle electronics that may be needed before proceeding?
I gut a presided kit from Crutchfield and the included introductions do not mention anything like this.
I am installing a Sony XAV1000 with a front USB port for car play. Not looking for other options like backup cameras, additional USB ports, etc.
Thanks in advance!

No nothing alarm or anything like that. I replaced mine with 730n and to be honest after the first time it only takes me a couple of minutes to install or remove the dash to change again of I wanted to

Thank you. Will do the install today.
I used this video for dash removal - the gentleman removes the vents first. The tutorial in this thread and the crutchfield instructions do not mention this.
While I can see that it can be done with the vents in place the removal is easy and it creates more room to access the switch cluster connector and it gives you places to hold on so there are no panel tools needed. The video also mentions the red lock slider for the switch cluster connector which isn’t mentioned anywhere else either. It would not have been obvious to me what to do to disconnect it.

Will post more info when I’m done with the install

I used to pull mine all the time. If you don't have power windows, there is no need to pull the vents. Pop out the cubby and pull the screw. Even with power windows, that switch comes out really easy. I find trying to pull the vents is a PITA. With my Seicane, I do pull the vents prior to reinstalling the bezel but the bezel is already removed and with all the crap I have behind the bezel, installing the vents after the bezel is reinstalled makes it much easier.
