Maybe do a google search for off road parks, state parks. Tread lightly might have some maps too in your area.

I did that while researching the jeep, and found nothing around. One place was about 1.5 hours and had a $600 membership a year. The other was about 3 hours.

So the Rubicon was kinda going to be over kill. And I didnt go the route.

Just keep your eye open too for open fields,,, But dont do lawn jobs.

^ DO NOT GO INTO PEOPLE'S FIELDS WITHOUT PERMISSION! That is called trespassing, and may well (and should) get you arrested. I live on a horse farm, and at least once a year, we get some idiot who does this. They almost always end up thinking the mud hole in the corner is a good idea, and get stuck. Some abandon their vehicle (stupid), and some come ask for help getting it out (slightly less stupid). All of them ignored the "No trespassing" sign.

Many state parks (by the way, you didn't mention what state you're in- get this thread moved to your region of the US for some better results!) have some dirt roads, mud, and trails for 4x4's (again, make sure it's legal first). People who go trailblazing are the ones who get legal trails shut down- NOT COOL!

So there's my first rant of the day down :) Mark W.

Hah- I hand them a shovel :) That mud pit is about 4' deep- no need to give them shit when their rig is literally windshield-deep in it :) That's the old manure pit that sunk in one day- Mark W.

Yep. If they were REALLY unlucky, the 80-something lady who lives on the property (the owner's mother) was either in her bathing suit (yeah, exactly), or had her 12-gauge. Either way, you're covered in shit, mud, and wanting to either vomit, cry, run away, or all of the above- Mark W.
