Alright, so I've changed the oil in all my vehicles for as long as I can remember. What's w these new filter cartridges? Anyone have any tricks or tips? This will be the first time I've done one of these.

Just lubricate the new rubber O'ring seal good with some oil, and don't over tighten the cap. The recommended is, 18 ft. lbs.

My last visit to the dealer for a simple oil change took too much time, so today, the JKU was due and decided to do it myself. Took me more time to prepare the tools and poor the old oil into the empty canisters than doing the oil change itself. Didn't even jacked the Jeep, mine is stock and was able to remove the drain plug (with some effort as the dealer had screwed it like King Kong).

Thanks to Youtube, Google and this forum, all the infos are out there so a newbie guy like me could learn how to do it.
