My buddy just purchased a 1988 YJ with the straight six. Its leaking oil all over the place. The guy who he bought it from looked like he did a botched up job on the valve cover gasket. Its sprewing out all around the edges of the valve cover. If your looking at the front of the jeep on the left side of the valve cover its almost like someone cut the heads of 3 of the bolts. Or is it supposed to be that way? Im planning on ripping it off and sealing the thing up with gasket maker. It almost looks like theres only 2 bolts holding it down. Does anyone have a good pic of the top of there motor so i can see what bolts hes missing?

PO probably broke off the bolts, tried to RTV the gaps. Looks like you might have some drilling to do if you can't access the broken bolts.
