I have an 07 JKU and my low oil pressure light won't go out? If I start it shut it off and then restart it the light goes out and stays out. We put over 2000 miles on it like this and no failure. We have replaced the sending unit and wiring and tried all different filters and oil weights. Any body else have this problem and how to correct it.

Have you confirmed you are using the correct filter?
What oil viscosity?
Have you tried the specs called out in your service manual?
How many miles on the Jeep?

Engine codes might help too. Sounds like the pump is starved after sitting a long time allowing the oil to all drain back into the pan. JUST a guess.

Starting and shutting down then pumps the galleys full and the sensor responds.
