Hello everyone, i am new to your forum. I have just purchased a 1997 jeep wrangler and today the check gauges light went off. The oil pressure gauge was reading around 5 at 35 MPH and would jump between 5 and 20 occasionally hitting around 40 but very briefly. I never noticed this before i had it lifted 2.5" and they had to drop the transfer case about 2" now this has started. What do you guys think. Is this fine or is something wrong.

Very likely nothing more than a bad oil pressure sender which, unfortunately, is a common problem. Odds of getting a good quality sender that will work properly the first time are best with a Mopar replacement sender. Aftermarket senders like from Autozone commonly give problems even when brand new.
